Each Coming Night
After finishing the sunset shooting for my image “Such Great Heights” (you can find that one in my gallery) I drove further on the TF-21 to start a hike into the into the caldera wastelands during the blue hour. It is a surreal place to be quite honest, you either find vast plains of sand with huge boulders or bushes or just old lava flows, now dry with huge amounts of gravel making every attempt to walk fail. I do think the caldera offers a ton of potential for photographic abstraction. While it is hard to find a decent composition it is all the more satesfying the moment you get away with a great image! This surely is one of my favorites from the trip.
