Scotland
Scotland is probably one of the places where another photographer’s work has inspired me the most. Alex Nail’s vast catalogue of images and his two books stand as a testament to the wild and unique landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. I was even fortunate enough to hike with him once. Luckily, I was able to hike with him jointly once! My work focuses largely on the northwestern Highlands, particularly the remote regions of Torridon and Assynt, where some of Scotland’s most striking landscapes can be found.
This gallery showcases the rugged peaks of Assynt and the windswept beauty of the Scottish Highlands—ancient mountains, quiet lochs, and ever-changing skies that create a powerful and moody atmosphere. From mist rolling through glens to soft light over rocky coastlines, these photographs capture the raw character that makes the Highlands so unforgettable for landscape photographers.
